NEWKID 27,210
Just me and the dogs this morning, grabbed a couple of ferrets and a pocketful of nets and had a good old wander. Walked a few parts of this new permission I haven't been on yet, the hedges were well dug out and the dogs marked well, too much for just me though. The terrier bolted a few rabbits, all duly missed, one out of a pile of logs. Got a couple of bolts off the ferrets one the terrier snapped up before it left the hole. Then a sma dig to another. Only a couple of hours but the sun was out so better out than in.... 6 Quote Link to post

NELS0N 457
Looked a grand way to close the year You cant beat a walk out on your own, took advantage of the weather myself and grabbed a few hours out with the ferrets. 1 Quote Link to post

NEWKID 27,210
Salt into the wound, Looks like great fun mate, I waited until the rain started and then took a lame lurcher and a stick obsessed busher up a muddy flooded wood, Tig hunted out sedge for ages, are there otter here? anyway Good write up, nice pictures atb Joe It was a bit impromptu mate, I'll give you more notice next time. I've seen otters on the River Culm near Silverton paper mill and on the River Tone in Taunton. Seen lots of Mink on the Exeter Canal over the years. You'd be near the River Creedy where you are, which is another tribrutary of the Exe, as is the Culm, so no reason why there shouldn't be otters present. 1 Quote Link to post
