Before the fox deer ban in 05 were boar legal to hunt with dogs in the UK.

And if they were legal did any of you hunt them.

Don't think you've been allowed to work them with dogs since the middle ages king,could be wrong,no doubt someone with a beddy x is doing double figures nightly lol,there's a few places you can bump into them,nasty things from what ive been told.atb dc

I like reading the American lads posts about hunting them with dogs though.and was wondering what the law on them is here.

Yea I was just wondering what's the law on them gents.as in the 70s 80s and were they legal pre ban or didn't they come under the ban.

And are there any in Ireland I know the hunting ban is different over there.are they legal quarry over there.

Feral wild boar have no specific legal protection but are covered by more general legislation covering mammals in the wild, such as the Wild Mammals Protection Act, 1996 and the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
