Had a day out yesterday on the tops with vin,,the moor opens up to us after the grouse are finished,,and it was nice to drop on a spot holding a few rabbits,,,as ever no nets,,just bolting for the dog

sport of kings at times , northy you had plenty oppurtunities to come through to let me see the beddies work ,had some right sport on some of the hill land , had thirties twice ands plenty twenties ,

Both really,,,,gets a bit boring me putting similar posts up catching rabbits,, so I tend not to bother to often now,,,   And yes getting out less,,,working more ,,and a 15 month old baby at home,,p

It was one of them days you dream about on those long hot summer nights... when your planning your next seasons trips out.

The ferrets and the dogs were faultless in any way all day.. . Now thats not something that happens very often.

I got a few clips and missed some spectacular bolts and catches with the iphone..One that came out like a rocket mid air and bounced of the old dogs nose and into the young dogs mouth.. If only Rew was there to capture it.a great double bolt with the young dog catching both one after the other..the ferrets produced 15 with a couple of digs to the young Hob kit off sock's jill and my Top hob..the 2 me and tomo had are looking good so far, propper little killing machines.

As tomo said at one point I sat down on the ferret box and the dogs were working the sedge like a pair of book ends quartering in unison like a pair of syncronised swimmers..lol... It was poetic to see. they did find and catch 11 bunnies whilst i sat there watching them work together complimenting each others advances and not trying to steal each others glory in the catch,no fighting over who caught it etc etc.. One of them moments that make you realize that you aint done such a bad job with a wreck of an abused rescue dog and a pup you've reared and trained yourself..lol.

A great last days ferreting/hunting with dogs for 2015.
