gazjon5 803
Mackem have a look at the shimano technium sturgeon rod it rated for 40 to 80lb braid bUT has a very sensitive tip. An uptide or spoding rod might also work. 1 Quote Link to post

Nicepix 5,650
I think that the Ugly Stik Uptide 5-10oz is worth a look. It is 9' 6" and breaks just above the but to give a travelling length of around 7'. It will dead lift the same weight as my Fox 5.5lb tc spod rod but is far more forgiving and through actioned. 2 Quote Link to post

Nicepix 5,650
Edgar sealy.... I've got one of their rods that would just suit Mackem. Double built split cane with a steel spine. God knows what test curve it is as I can't bend the bugger. Quote Link to post

J Darcy 5,871
Fox duo-lites for the river.atb dc They snap for fun. I snapped 3 and my cousin snapped one. The 'solid' tip is good, but the quiver one often breaks. They had a load sent back. Diawa Porky Pig, now thats a rod... 1 Quote Link to post
Mister Gain 1,764
Best rod I ever bought is a 12 foot Daiwa Whisker Kevlar Match. Couldn't ask for a better rod for waggler or stick float fishing on rivers, although it did most of its work on lakes and I've had some glorious days using it, and..... I still have it 2 Quote Link to post
