You cant breed a 3/4 without doing the 1/2 cross first. I think they'll make ideal vermin dogs.

should do what you want just fine. but i would have wanted it around your mink from around five six weeks old. ive used whippet terrier crosses for similar hunting for years and they are ideally suite

I am considering getting a pup from a jagdterrier X whippet breeding that has recently produced a litter of pups. My understanding is that jag lurchers are relativity rare, and lurchers in general are

my biggest concern with this cross is that jagd are known to be a vocal breed... not a trait i would be looking for in a lurcher personally

my patt x was very vocal ...but it wasn't a dog I'd have used like a lurcher TBH more a quick busher/ferreting companion

Would love to see a pic of your trained mink and a description of how you use them to hunt . And as to your lurcher pup itry one see how you get on with all dogs its trial and error and you won't know unless you try.

Search for minkenry on youtube and watch the videos they're really good.

my terrier whippet first cross. indestructable but lacks a gear.

Yeah, I really think 1/4 jagd x 3/4 whippet or greyhound would have been a far better mix.

I'd entertain one for the scrub here so long as it has the terrier coat mind. Bron is torn up from yesterday in the mountains, real tough brush.

a border terrier cross would have the course coat and borders have the toughest hide ive ever seen on terriers probably due to there histery of otter hunting. some have skin like rhino's

That's interesting, I don't know anything about border terriers, as all the terrier guys I know work patterdale, jagdterriers, or terrier/game pit bull crosses. Are border terriers made for flushing game, or for dispatching it underground like a patterdale?

its not just the being vocal whilst working thats a problem, ive had a vocal terrier before.. if i had lived urban i couldnt have kept her as she wouldve pissed off all the neighbours with her barking whilst kenneled, I kenneled her away from the house when i knew that local dog theives were after my terriers and out of all of them she was the one whom told them exactly where id hidden her by barking her head off. my other terriers id hidden in an old chicken shed and they didnt find those. i was out with one of the other dogs a couple miles from home and could hear the commotion but didnt get back in time.
