Some great pics lads.   I like the old pics as well. Below are some old family photos that I came across recently.     A granduncle of mine on the left. They are walking down O'Connell Street

This is my parents wedding day, March 1962, showing them with all 4 of my grandparents. My maternal grandad (far right) was a 23 year veteran of the 17/21st Lancers and a fine man !

 

My mum tells me there was snow on the ground !

The bloke on the left is my grandfather on my mothers side. He was born in 1899 and was registered as a general labourer in 1920, so had left the navy by then, but I don't know what year this photo was taken.

Another photo of him with my nan, don't know what year, the baby died.

And one of me about 1959-60, a school photo complete with hand knitted pullover and elasticated tie and short back and sides. Think every kids mum from that era used to knit pullovers, cardigans, mittens and balaclavas :laugh:

That's the Cork City Otterhounds in that photo.

Is was thinking it was them alright.

 

the caption under the picture,says a drag hunt. I wouldn't like to have my money on one of those hounds in a drag hunt, haha.
