steve66 3,468
I think you'll have a caretaker manager in until the end of the season , then maybe pep in

bracken boy 584
I'm ok with being beaten by a better team better goals better outstanding performances but there is manager who has spent money on players who of yet haven't turned up, I like to give managers times if I can see a light at the end of the tunnel but all I can see is a blurry mist with a old slow midfield, to be fair too slow in most areas

gnasher16 30,121
The players are doing the same thing as the Chelsea players done to get van gal the boot and it's working he'll be sacked by the middle of next week...But ffs don't bring that mourinho w@nker to old Trafford I think we,re on dangerous ground if that is the case wheres it going to end.....player power dictating which managers can stay and which have to go ?.......they get well paid to play football not take part in popularity contests if they wont give their best they shouldnt be paid thats life the world over im afraid. As for fans leaving grounds early.....ive been in a football ground virtually every week of the season since a child be it my own club or others ive only ever noticed 1 or 2 clubs who have had large amounts of fans leave early and they are renowned for it........maybe the rest all stay till the final whistle to watch the mighty Hammers play eh Edited December 20, 2015 by gnasher16

I suspect no player would purposely play poorly to get the manager the sack, they are professional sports man at the end of the day, and forget the money, life style, etc, for 90 minutes they are footballers. Ferguson was given time to completely re shape the club from top to bottom, the foundation is firmly there now, the choice now is a manager who has the minerals to carry that forward and take a grip of the club again. I'm not one for chopping and changing, but I just don't think Van Gaal is the right manager for the club, I'm a UTD fan but not stupid enough to expect the silver ware to keep rolling in because it's Man Utd...there's a job to be done and the game is changing, the "little" clubs aren't scared any more, they feel they can beat any team, you need a manager who makes the top players feel unbeatable, confident but also willing to graft their bollocks off ( Fergie was the master of it) I liked Morhino a few years back, was never a big fan of his style but thought he was a good manager, who the players respected immensely (look at terry, Lampard, Drogba at that time they played out of their skin for him), in the same man management style as Ferguson. At that time I would of been delighted to have him when Fergie finished. Now this season when the chips are down he's made himself look a twat, that player protection was thrown out of the window and everyone was thrown under the bus, and made accountable apart from him.. I don't like that, yes the players have been shocking but that's a bollocking behind closed doors IMO. But... I still think given complete control of a club like UTD would work with him. Giggs isn't ready, Neville will be the manager IMO in 5 or so years, he's getting all the experience you need, giggs could make a dream team with him if he gets the experience. I'd love Pep's style of play, but we'd have to wait a long time for it to filter through, the youth would be taught a way, and the current crop couldn't play his style... I'd love the club to be patient enough to get him in and say it's going to take a few years but we will be the best team in the world if you wait... can't see it though. So I think Jose will be the fix...oh well.

THE STIFFMEISTER 15,982
So is guardiola the man????? Bear in mind, pep is very good at taking a very good side to another level, but I don't think he's ever rebuilt like what's needed at United? ... At Barca, he had messi on a plate through the academy, and spent an average I believe of £75 million per season...and his record was patchy with signings, zlatan anyone? Would a united board already hurt form the falcao and di Maria disasters be willing to fork out massively for top end stars, I think they'd fight shy of that Realistically I don't see many being available soon, ronaldo maybe but would he play for guardiola ? Be interesting to see him in the prem, the pinball style he loves is very difficult to play against high pressing teams with pace at the top....which is most decent prem teams m o these days.... I think giggs will step in until pep arrives
