unlacedgecko 1,466
Don't know the law in Ireland, but on the mainland there have been cases of people using lethal force (knives) to protect their dogs and not being charged.
dare 1,103
Amount of people who own dogs n shouldnt is a never ending cycle. Amount of people who own such breeds n think your out chasing vampires if you have a break stick lol. Youll be fine if anything dont let yourself feel you done anything wrong and put it to him. Needs some sense knocked into him about keeping his dog on the lead.
flipbull 1,139
"booting the hell" out of the wrong dog while it's got a grip on yours will just make it worse for your dog A calm, level head is what's needed to break it up before either dog sustains any real damage. You can take your revenge however you see fit after your dog is safe I've broke many a pair of fighting staffs up bgd.the best way I've found with out a break stick is a good hard twist on the collar.strangle them off while kneeling on the dog.then a good kicking for it. Strangling off with the collars can be the best way to go about it if you don't know the dogs or can't trust them not to redirect but I'd rather just pull their jaws apart, quicker and less chance of causing more damage first things first...get their back legs off the floor.... yokel Thats the one grab them by the collar twist and squeeze fook out the wind pipe with your other hand. Soon let go, then you got it by the collar so can't bite you, or less chance of. Knocking the owner out 1st can also help to calm the situation.
