tillylamp 1,830
hi mate, its your choice and i respect that, as you have stopped your kids going to the in laws because of the smoking, the smell of it and the harm it causes, i think its the fact that you can see the smoke and obviously, smell it, and the harm it does, that makes people protect there children, but what about the things you cant see and some of them you cant smell, that we no about that have similar effects, like mobile phones causing cancer tumors, computers damaging there eyes at young ages, processed meat causing cancers, red meat, electric pylons, coal fumes, etc etc, the list goes on, but as you cant see or smell what could damage a kid for later on in life we tend to not worry about it, and think it's ok, i do see a lot of young children now have there own mobile,i pad, computer game consoles, that also wear glasses were there eyes are starting to muck up, i know we live in a modern world and it would be hard to stop a kid having all the mod cons, but these can damage too, but like i said i mean no disrespect to your choice, i'm sure you no best when it comes to your own. tilly

BGD 6,436
Ffs you's make mountains out of molehills Their House Their Rules Just don't take the kids to their house Let them visit you's Or meet up at a neutral outdoors venue Your lass could visit her parents on her own She's old enough to make that decision . You can't tell a old couple what to do in their own home. Think you got your wires crossed pal, that's exactly what he said he'd be doing. Reading comprehension never was your strong point though eh max

socks 32,253
Mate I don't know why you are still answering questions and justifying yourself ... Your first job as a parent is to protect your kids and that's what you are doing ... End of no explanation ..........

bird 9,927
Mate I don't know why you are still answering questions and justifying yourself ... Your first job as a parent is to protect your kids and that's what you are doing ... End of no explanation .......... true , I am x smoker packed in 25 years ago, but even after all this time my lungs are no good . I ok walking nice and steady couple hours, but if I just have hill cline few hills etc. , I struggle getting my breath.had tests where you blow in tubes and to comp both tests. the doctor said ive scared my lungs from 15 years of smoking 10-20 cigs a day. so you can see what this feckin dirty habit will do to your health, and even passive smoking will do damage. if it was me I wouldn't take my kids to there house for there health and mine . life very short on this planet , why shorten it with a dirty habit, the reason I stopped for was 1st my health,2nd for my son who is 29 now, I owe him that much if nothing else
king 11,972
So my inlaws smoke alot of ciggaretes in there gaff which has resulted in the place stinking of a dirty tobacco smell, when i take my children round to visit there granparents they end up stinking there hair there clothes even down to there skin..dropped them in for 20 mins other day come back pick em up they stunk had go home bath and change them..so we could go out for a meal.. We have told them about it and they say they wont stop smoking indoors as its there home and they can do what they want. Am i wrong or what ??? Told mrs they not going there any more mrs went spoke to chemist she reckons third hand smoke is as dangerous as second hand smoke and advised not to bring them there until place is sorted i.e sofas carpet curtains are replaced..(pricey i know) And ovbiosuly they stop ..Tbh i think there selfish fuckers .. Hard work here now What are they smoking in that house to make someone's skin smell after 20mins fecking car tyres lolNee norr Edited December 19, 2015 by king
