if you cant pay for a dog . you cant look after it get a budgi there cheaper to feed , or is it those that want a free dog are just spongers / or want to sell it on for a latch lifter. :whistling:

What have any of dons previous pups done that warrant a high price tag aswell Andy? Genuine question?

I never reared the pups Don,the bitches he sired were my bro in laws and my friend,i never asked a penny off either ..Don dog has caught stacks of gear trust me,nigh on a thousand beasts,10 being his best during the day with 5 charlies the same day,big numbers on the lamp, digging with the terriers, ferreting,he can do the whole shebang..he has fuckall to prove to anyone me included.. There will NEVER EVER be a pup bred off him given away by me,he wont EVER line a bitch other than what i own myself if ever? So if i do breed off him it will be for £400-£500 a pup,you play around with your half decent dogs if your happy with that? Too much shite strewn across the country by fkn idiots gifting rubbish to anyone who wants to take one on? Some folk think a good dog worth breeding off is one thats had one good night,a charlie,a few beasts lol..that don't impress me im afraid it obviously does you? Keep on with your gifts, you never know you might strike lucky haha
So no longer on offer Lol lol lol
Don't say anything offence don't say anything offence it's hard I like you mate Andy but that's pretty arrogant
Says the lad who has a Hancock and will no doubt of payed £300 for a heap of shite lol..i GUARANTEE my Don dog has killed a thousand times more gear than Hancock has ever caught with every f***ing dog hes ever owned!!! For a hundred quid more id rather get a pup out of a PROPER dog lol..just saying like
WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT LIKE THAT,,,THE PRICES D HANCOCK CHARGES,,, AND AS YOU SAID, THERES NOT A LOT OF THOUGHT GONE INTO IT,,

The sensible way to look at it free dogs ? if you go to a re homing centre or the dog pound you have to give a contribution so not free. if you have a mate who breeds good stuff and you get gifted one you should at least put your hand in your pocket for vets fees ,,jabs and a couple of bags of food they have all cost your mate money if you dont then your not the kind of mate a decent lad should have. As for selling the lad who breeds and raises the litter has every right to fix his own price for the pups either reasonable or extortionate his litter his choice. To many criticise and spout about prices but havent got a fecking clue what it costs to breed and raise a litter right and get them to 8/10 weeks . You decide what dog lines suit decide what you are willing to spend and then get the best pup you can for your buck. If a guys a puppy peddler and in it for the money wont be long before he is sussed unless his stock performs. To many concerned by price tags without researching what they are looking at still we cant all be rich kids and most wouldnt enjoy being beggars. Spend what you can afford and bring on the pup in the best way you can.

What for those wanting to get into it but none of their mates are into it? Or they dont know the people in the know with regards dogs performances etc. It has been said on many occasions on here that people dont and wont take newbies out (which I fully understand). Also the lads that arent money grabbing wont let dogs go to just anyone. So how are young uns meant to get into it?

This is/was me although at 32 I definitely wouldnt call myself young. I have made mates wi somone off here through the ferreting side and it turns out hes a top fella. He also has a couple of young dogs which when I have seen them I have been very impressed so I am hoping maybe in a few years to have a pup of my own from his bitch IF he breeds her. Failing that I am guna have to take a punt on a description someone gives me and pay a price they want!

With all the antis, dog thiefs, permission thiefs etc everyone is understandably suspiscious. But that makes it a hard game to get into.

Lads are saying the 'idiots' buying these dogs are funding the process etc but most may have no choice? Im guessing by the time you have been in the game a while you wouldnt be looking on the internet for advertised dogs, you or a friend would be planning your own litters????
