Reading this makes me glad I get out with the fellers I do. I've never ever sold any lurcher adult or pup world beater or scrap it's just not something I'd do personally. If I'm after a pup it doesn't

A dog is worth what some one is willing to pay for it. Whether its any good or fit for purpose is another matter. What is it they say you pay your money and take your chance, Simple use your eyes and

Got a litter here now and not a penny is crossing hands most definitely be out of pocket but I and few lads will have well bred pups with years of work ahead that priceless to me ! My uncle asked why

That's bollix paying that amount for a lurcher 4,5,6 hundred and now twice this amount. I think 4 hundred maybe for a genuine dog and a genuine reason for sale, and you could see it out, and trial.Even about ten years ago, I spoke with a man who paid about five ton, on trial but off some one he knew of, a dealer. Some on there working quality may be worth this, but to sell would be not a part of the product. Saluki hybrids, yes they have their own price, different ball game and some are only into that, that type of hunting or that sort of money.

Money is all relative,to some one on the dole with no other income £500 is a lot of money.

To a young lad ,living at his parents, with a grow on ,or selling the powder,it's easy come easy go.

Some coursing dogs have gone for 5 figures in the past , if someone's prepared to pay there will be a seller.

Is it right? Probably not ,but it's life.

That's the point I was making earlier - I can spend 300 notes on a night out in Bedfordshire, That's big coin to some lads who have to make that last them a month, but it's piss all to some other chaps, my nephew is 23 and lives in Chelsea and hangs about with the celebrities, 300 nicker wouldn't see him past his first bar - he would spend that on a bottle of champagne,,,

everyone in here seems to think everyone else is as skint as they are

How the feck can food and care come into the price tag of a dog... That comes as fecking standard, of any dog!!

It aint an add on to the price ffs, no matter what you feckin feed it or how you look after it..!!!

If you buy a pup, train, socialise and feed a pup for three years it's going to cost around a grand.

I am pointing out that this money has been spent on the adult dog that's for sale. So the vendor isn't exactly making a killing on the sale.
