Lutra Lutra 611
Hello to all fellow Fox Hunters, terrier men and certain other hunting enthusiasts. I just thought it a good idea to explain about one of our most active opponents regarding any type of fieldsports namely (Mr Brian May) following the 3 Counties Bloodhounds following the Clean Boot, It is a short article printed in the South Wales Evening Post.In so many words of course from Brian no animals are harmed when involved in such an enjoyable activity.I will leave the rest of the somewhat short article to our readers who care to read about such a man. Also it has been brought to my attention which is very worrying especially to terrier men about a certain number of terriers unfortunately inflicted by (btb). After a Patterdale terrier located a moribund Badger whether below ground in its sett or above ground I am not quite certain of the true facts, but the terriers in question received bites from our stripey little fellow. Unfortunately for the unfortunate Dogs it was advised by Veterinarians that the poor Dogs in question to be humanely euthanized. The moribund Badger I don't think was even examined, but I am not totally sure about the last statement. It is obviously more important for a Badger at deaths door to seem to me to be more important than someones beloved Dog or a prized herd of cattle.Over the years I have travelled extensively to various parts of Europe and witnessed first hand about their methods of Badger control. Readers will already know that legal terrier work is employed in France, Austria, Hungary,Finland and especially Sweden in which I have visited many years ago.We have the highest density of Badgers than any other European country. What the outcome will be who knows, but like Bert Gripton once remarked, it will get worse before it gets better? 'Time will only tell'! My best wishes. Lutra Lutra... 2 Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
Ye can call me every name under the sun lads but if I was there I'd never want to see hounds riot so much, LOL. JMHO but that Master who invited that hypocrite should be ashamed of themselves. Bryan May is not only anti fieldsports he is also anti farming. What would the Master have told May if a horse broke down or hounds did riot ? With friends like that , who needs enemies and IMO proper hunting folk should distance themselves from drag hunts and simulated coursing. There's no pest control argument and IMO drag hunting is for those who haven't the balls to really hunt anyway. 7 Quote Link to post
cragman 2,763
I agree Neil. May is anti human being and is the biggest twat on the face of the earth. In my opinion, a day with hounds is a privilege and to those who truly have hounds well being at heart it will be an enjoyable, never to be forgotten experience 4 Quote Link to post
longdog85 29
Not all but some drag packs openly condem other types of hound work which is a terrible shame. Last year our local paper ran a piece on the south down blood hounds were there master huntsman urged people to follow them thus avoiding the cruelty and bloodshed of fox hunting all from a man who used to hunt fox hounds disgraceful in my opinion . Funny thing were did he go when his hounds caught mange the local pack for tic tac they politely sent him packing ! 4 Quote Link to post

Like I said before I admired Brian May only but for his music skills and saw Queen on 2 occasions in 1986. Brian May signed me one of his books before I knew about his stance on hunting. The book was given to a friend who is in a Queen tribute band. I never finished the crap.Neil, you are correct in so many ways even with his attitude towards Farming. Was the guy once the huntsman to a certain pack in Wales. He should hang his head in shame! Well said Neil in your response.... Lutra Lutra... P.S. I am fully aware many guys on here will be up in arms with such a character like May. Quote Link to post
