The Seeker 3,048
But could we have done it without them? I don't think we could have. If Hitler had focused on western Europe, instead of Operation Barbarossa, how different could the result have been? Of course we could they had practically no influence in the second world war, they fell in around 10 days from Hitlers push, The French never forgave Winston for sinking their fleet but he did warn them and asked therm t surrender the fleet to Britain to stop it falling into German hands.. Not saying some of their resistance fighters were not brave but as a nation they weren't even at the game.
Truther 1,579
My life is hunting. We can't hunt without English countryside.....hence my support for ukip, but I think we need to make sure ukip values rural votes and dosnt get taken over by turncoats from other parties Rural votes will be decided on EU policy more than anything else i would think mate? The tories want in and need the rural votes, be hard for anyone to top their offers, and not exactly suffering with immigration are they.........cheap foreign labour, not muslims though............can't have them grooming farmer Giles daughters can we..........turning the village hall into a f***ing mosque..... Course eventually...........given enough time.......the urban areas will become muslim......political control will shift.........and they'll be regretting voting for EU subsidies instead of doing the right thing............or letting hunting policies affect their vote...........or their kids will. Not saying some of their resistance fighters were not brave but as a nation they weren't even at the game. I was referring to the resistance not their fleeing standing army. I know a lot of D-Day veterans praise them very highly, and said that they couldn't have done it without them. I'll stick with that assessment.
tandors 888
Apart from a few Jews and communists, there was pretty much no French resistance, just do a search and look at pictures of Paris under German occupation and compare them to Paris now.
