I got mine last weekend, not had chance to use it yet but the wife is going to drop me off tonight before she goes to bed, i,v got a six mile walk home, all over estate land and i,ll love every minute

You'll be even more impressed with it when you get out over the windy fields, it's just not the same sitting in the house with the lights off and the curtains closed

I just gave mine a quick try and it seems decent enough. I was still trying to hold the battery though as I was climbing fences and going through gaps to stop it swinging around

Well i popped out with mine last night to pick up a couple for the pot and i still think it would benefit from a hole in the filter, i,find myself having a first look with the filter on and then takeing it off to have another look as i cant see quite far enough with the filter on, i,ll drill it over christmas.

Red filters are only any good when it's really dark.I put an amber filter on and you get much better distance

It was abit moony last night although i have been out on a couple of darker nights and still feel a hole in the filter would suit my needs better, great little lamp though, i would highly recommend it.

Borrowed the deben tracer one off a friend (it's the same thing as far as I can tell?)

Just took it with me whilst out training with the pup. It's definitely whiter than the striker light making it easier to see at distance and I'd have to say it's probably a tighter spot too (which isn't adjustable) maybe too tight?

If your lamping with longer runs in mind then I'd probably go with this as a lamp for a few hours lamping, if the spot was adjustable then I think it would be a cracking lamp.

As has been said already, LED's don't produce as much of the entire light spectrum as a normal bulb so by putting a filter over it it cut the beam down by a LOT.

Maybe you can swap the white pill out for a red pill but this wouled mean no white light.
