what jacket does everyone recommend for digging in has to be waterproof but breathable something that you can walk around in all day but I don't want something that you will be soaked in sweat at the end of the day.

No such thing as waterproof and breathable for digging mate don't be fooled by the Internet adverts everyt single item I've had pants coat boots have all leaked Lol

I use the ridgeline range, you do sweat in any of em. These are cheap enough and are waterproof.

north face or any walking brand do good jackets most of the hunting jackets i have seen are to big and bulky they would be spot on if you was stood at a peg all day shooting but not moving about

I tend to wear the Swan dri jacket. Its wool so keeps the rain off and warm for driving round on the quad. Good hood on it aswell. But you look like some sort of monk wearing it!

wax jacket, I got a cheap one in Aldi years ago.It has more stitches than Frankenstein in it. Great for pushing through thick thorney cover. Tippical Aldi havent sold them for years now that Im looking for another one.Its got a very thin lining so I wear a fleace under it.

My ridge line monsoon smock does not leak, two yr old. The pintail gets wet on the elbows when im lay on the floor. Got the torrent for this yr,seems good enough but sweaty. I can only speak as I find.

There's no such thing as a breathable waterproof jacket,if it lets the air out,you can be damm sure it will let the water in,at best they are shower proof and should be labelled so,and with a proper waterproof jacket you'll get wet anyway from sweat/condensation ,I always pack a spare set or 2 of dry clothes for after a wetting and the drive home,

Only jacket I've found that is truly waterproof and breathable is a stretch one from OMM, too soft for digging in but buffalo pretext and pile will keep you warm while wet
