David.evans 5,323
I learnt a valuable leason last nite , Really got feed up of waiting for the weather to improve , so of I went Got to the perm , and scanned the field with the ir spotter , and I was surprised to see so many rabbits out in the middle of the fields , considering the weather , blowing a gale Normally I wouldn't even consider going out in that , because there is no way I could shoot acturatley, but I just walked up to them with the wind straight in my face , ranging individuals As I went , got closer than ever before, 25/30 yards , and took the shot , 6 shots and 6 on target, stone dead The penny dropped, very little moon , blowing hard , and a great result Roll on a nother good blustery wind , I'll be out again Atb 2 Quote Link to post

random 659
Good night to be out when the weather is like that,no moon and wind is good lamping weather, dulls the senses sort of when they sit tight, can't smell or hear too well I think so its a good opportunity to get the better of them as you did and get a few in the bag, assuming you can shoot in the wind!! 1 Quote Link to post

philpot 4,965
Nice shooting David. I used to love real blustery conditions when years ago I did a lot of wildfowling, by hell ducks can fly fast downwind. Phil Quote Link to post
