Not to see em off into the afterlife ?? I had a near death experience once on the railway tracks....turns out the light at the end of the tunnel was just another train and not the pearly gates so I'm un convinced about that too

Answer me this mate because no one else will.do you believe the virginmary had a child ?and if you do how is it possible

Why are you so hung up on that? If someone believes in the Christian God they believe he's an all powerful omnipotent being that created the world in seven days, putting a baby into a virgin's womb seems like childsplay compared to that.

 

Why does it bother you so much if someone else has faith? Does it have any impact on your life?

 

At the end of the day if it helps folk deal with the shit life throws at them I say crack on.

Because I'm trying to get my head around the fact that so many 100s million of people can believe in it.and yes it does have a very small impact on my life when I go to funerals I do it for respect of the dead person.

 

 

They believe in it because they have faith, you don't believe in it because you don't. It really is as simple as that.

 

If the impact on your life is so small why spend any amount of time thinking about it? Honestly find it really strange how much time some atheists spend thinking and talking about religion, see I'm an atheist too and I spend about as much time thinking about religion as I do about ghosts and other things I don't believe in. Just seems mad to spend your days arguing over something you don't even believe. You don't believe in God and others do, why not just leave it at that?
