Herefordshire and Shropshire is a different story you can go like feck in 90% of that part of the country 2 Quote Link to post

Pick and bar 381
I travel all over this wonderful country, short of the fortresses in the lakes, that are totally undiggable, the Chilterns/Cotswolds consistently have it for me. " like I've said before" a super fit animal able to work for hrs and hrs is needed here. Regularly 4/5 hrs for 1_1.5m digs. GREAT STUFF!!!! Quote Link to post
downsouth 7,143
Does it not spook the quarry more with all the banging going on above them?It can do mate.It can also be a bit unnerving for a young dog on its first dig or 2.I remember having a couple of lads down from Wales a few years back and after a couple of gruelers they reckoned if their digging permission was the same as mine they'd stick to the lurchers. 2 Quote Link to post
Pick and bar 381
Hard hard day today, three digs 1.0m to 1.4m took 3 of us nearly all day. My gym membership, will have to wait. Come home looking like a ghost, chalk was hard and the flints cut me and my clothes and the tykes to pieces. God loves a sinner! That is character building ground!!!!! 1 Quote Link to post
