We have a real tree every year ... Costs me a quick trip in the 4x4 and a few swings of the axe ........

I like your style lol

Well 'er indoors picked a tree. That's a nice size, she says. That'll fit lovely, she says. It's taller than the ceiling and we've had to move the furniture to the other side of the room to get it in. Good luck to her with decorating it. I'm off to London tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be done when I get back.

I have about 200 on my little place !!......the kids said about a Christmas tree and I said "look out the window!" Lol

Ended up with a little thing in the front room.

I'm burning the fecking things on the fire !!

I'm intrigued?? Did you plan on growing them and selling or was it always to burn?

i know a bit about christmas trees...the estate i was on cut and sold about 70,000 every year it was trees as far as the eye can see! and was a very important supplyier to the uk market...infact if some one shows me the tags on their tree ile tell you if its from their haha.

its one of the few things left where the middle man makes a SMALL margin! trees wholesale are about £5 per foot and the most demand being for 4-7ft trees...after 7 ft 90% get cut out and trashed for replanting then the market goes up even more to the 10-12-15 even 20 ft ones for market quares and churches....its a big big buisness is christmas trees.would you belive they even hand wipe a growth inhibiting mormone onto the leader of the tree to stop it growing up too fast and let it fill out? and each tree is trimmed to shape and pruned with hand sheers twice a year?

No mate, they were already here.....there's fecking thousands of things planted all round me......I can't stand the sight of them, dirty things and they ruin the ground underneath and around them.

Oh I see......I thought you had a cunning plan...?

I'm surrounded here too. Used to get a lovely Xmas tree free every year but they are to big now. Now that I've got myself a stove I've noticed a few trees have just 'fell down'......that's lucky..?

I'm sure if I searched I'd get a half decent one but the forestry have just let the trees go without looking after them and they don't shape up very well.

Easier just to buy a fake b*****d and let her decorate it. If it was up to me there would be no tree!
