NEWKID 27,143
Always have a real tree, put it up on the 8th December, cause 8 years ago on the 8th I had just finished decorating the tree, called the heavily pregnant Mrs to come down and have a look.. She cried and said it was the most beautiful tree she'd ever seen (hormones were crazy as f**k)... Then went into labour... Had our girl on the 9th.. 2 weeks early all because of a beautiful Christmas tree lol... So that's our tradition now lol Edited December 10, 2015 by NEWKID

tillylamp 1,830
we always have an artificial one now, they have come on leaps and bounds now you wouldn't know it wasn't real, plus you only pay the once and it comes with the lights already on them, and as for the real smell of a real tree you can buy that in a can too, tilly

neil cooney 10,416
Can't mention Christmas trees in my house if we have visitors. My daughter just loves telling the story of the time I came home from the pub and fell over the Christmas tree and it landed on top of me.
Mister Gain 1,764
Last time we had a real christmas tree, we also had a staff. The two didn't mix very well and the b*stard had it over about 5 times, looked a right sorry state come christmas day. Only had a tree up once since then and that was an artificial one. Looked OK but you don't get that pine resin smell, but could always steal one of the blocks out of the gents urinals down the pub and hang that on the tree.
