Best Lamp For .22 Hatsan At-44-10Xpcp???or .22 Airgun In General???

I've spent all my hunting life lamping mainly and using the trusty lurcher as my weapon of choice I found that light force offered me the best results when I took my dog out for a shine...170 striker I found was the lamp that I picked up time and time again even though I own all 3 variations lance,striker,blitz....I then found hid but in all fairness i didnt like the beam intensity and always reverted back too my old faithful striker....not one of the fancy dimmable types either....but recently I've decided on a new hunting path wich saw me purchasing the hatsan at-44-10 after much research and I'm over the moon with what I got for the budget....but shooting an airgun and slipping a dog are in my opinion two different games entirely....and the type of lamp required for airgun shooting is what I'm hoping too learn from this topic....so please suggestions and experience in this field would be greatly appreciated....I have brought a lamp after a bit of research but before I say it and possibly get laughed at for my choice i hope too get some valuable info/opinions on my best options....many thanks in advance cooper101

T20 or t38 or t50

 

the t67 is fecking amazing but it adds a good bit of wait to your rifle the ones above are more that you need for an air rifle

 

you will see more than your rifle will shoot out to

 

there small and compact and you can zoom them in and out to get the beam that suits you

 

and you can scope mount it to

And the red beam is the best to use .

 

but you can get other color pills that you can fit out in the field as there easy to change IE, green white

Hi mac, thanks for replying and thanks for advice, as said airgun lamp doesn't need range of an fac rifle or a dog mans lamp, so I am quite into gathering info on the new types of lamps I will be needing....I did jump the gun abit excuse the pun and got a led lenser p7.2 and it arrived this eve so I can't wait too see if it's any good first impressions especially for the money are very impressed but until I try it out in the field I won't be sure....I'm new too airgun lamping I just decided I can't buy another dog now mines retired so how am I going too get my hunting fix and the airgun lamp setup seemed ideal...I will hopefully move on too a digital nv or a thermal scope later but for now I'm going too do my apprenticeship with a lamp and a rifle....do u know if the lamps you mentioned are waterproof?? I'm not sure mine is lol....but hey for the money beggars can't be choosers....anyway here's my set up I have yet too hit the fields after dark as I said earlier lamp turned up a few hours ago and I just fitted it....yis cooper101

You can get an add on IR kit for about the £150 mark, they won't see you coming then....

Get a Nv add on can't beat them thy don't Evan no your there. I had a photon didn't like it so got the add on and never looked back.

When u say nv add on and infared add on are these kits that add on too what I've got or do I need say nv scope for infared add on as I didn't think I could see Infared light without the right scope??? Sorry if I sound stupid but I don't know what add ons these are with what I have?? Yis cooper

Before this gets too complicated get out with what you have,should be fine for lamping rabbit,the stock mounted switch is the key here,very helpful and needs to be gotten used to,you'll soon get used to lamping,when they are spooked etc,lamping with a dog would have given you the basics so now you have your set up go out and get used to it,range estimation is different at night so that needs to be allowed for,let us know how it goes with some pics...

Thanks for response Random....yeah I agree stick with what I know or think I know and have and progress naturally... Really excited too get back out for a shine..will defo post pictures when I go on my first shoot lamping outing....although I've done it hundreds of times before with my dogs I'm buzzing too get out there and learn a new Trade in the fields.....!!! Good luck with it,just don't think these things need over complicating so start small and go from there,I mostly lamp and only have basic kit but get the odd one! I must admit I am looking at nv more and more but most of us use a gun mounted lamp and have for years so it must be producing results...

No you do not see infra red with your scope, the camera that goes onto the scope does. What the kit does is produce IR with a lamp or in built IR illuminator, the IR is then seen by a camera that goes onto the eyepiece of your scope and produces an image that is viewed on a small LCD screen. You look at the screen, not through the scope.

And if you build a Nv kit use an e700 camera, wish I'd used one from the beginning. The others where pants in comparison.

So £700 then add another £50 for an illuminator and another £10 for a scope clamp for the illuminator or less than £200 for something like mine?

 

This sees over 300 metres as well!
