dillydog 8,463
Keep him going in the small places, some of them are naturals but the bulk of them learn their trade as they go through life. 7 Quote Link to post

Lew 111
Could just be a lack of confidence which should grow the more opportunities he gets in easy spots 1 Quote Link to post

dillydog 8,463
You'll find a lot of young terriers want more room than they need, it might not be she can't find, it just might be she won't commit to pushing tight. One way or the other she'll put it right in time if you give her the chances in the right places. Best of luck and keep the faith in her. 12 Quote Link to post
Pick and bar 381
Wise words dillydog, time, and chances, they are not machines!!! Some folk know there lines and expect reactions at a known age, a yr, 15 months blah blah. Bitches start early etc. An experienced eye normally can tell around a yr. 2 Quote Link to post

Had exactly the same experience recently with a young dog on the first outing.........& he is on the big side..... Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
It's good that you're bringing a trustworthy terrier with you to let you know about the pup. If she's had a rag before then better still. If she fails to find again and the older terrier does make sure the youngster sees the older one go to ground, let her hear the other terrier below while getting a nostril full of the terrier and game. Wind her up. Make her jealous and wonder why isn't it her that's not having the fun. 1 Quote Link to post
