Thanks, Mackem. Did a little digging, this side of the Atlantic, and Trump did indeed quote that figure (BBC Link Here.) However the poll was conducted for the neoconservative group Center For Security policy, and cites it's head honcho Frank Gaffney, a leading conspiracy theorist. Frank's other claims include Saddam Hussein being involved in the attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Oklahoma city bombings. A senior Democratic party advisor was a secret member of the Muslim Brotherhood. A senior Republican party strategist was also a secret member of the Muslim Brotherhood. That the current president was not a natural born citizen, and that the belief that the logo of the U S Missile Defence Agency is a coded message for it's submission to islam. It seems to be the only poll that cites such a figure, and while I'll keep searching for others that confirm the data I'd be surprised if any exist. While I cannot verify the polls accuracy I cannot accept it as an indication of the belief of the American public especially as several states have just signed a motion to settle Syrian refugees, in the US, providing that extensive checks take place.
