I totally agree there no more time for complacency at the elections... I hate to say it but it really is the only way to make change.. Good on the French I say.

Trouble is in this country complacency will never see this happen though we can all live in hope.
mackem 26,812
Small wonder, extreme begets extreme, extreme radical islamists need extreme political parties to oppose them, for every action theres an equal and opposite reaction, farage should be drinking a brew in number 10 but sadly we have an apologist.
jacknife 2,005
Good the right is the only political style that will stand up for the native people of Europe The left will do the usual and try and play it down and say the right will get nowhere I think its getting harder for the left to discredit these parties now

When you can't even beat a weakened Labour party in a by election you know you're in trouble.

Oh that's right, you ended up with less MPs than you started with your leader couldn't even win his seat on the fifth attempt

How the voting system works in this country is not a true indication of public feeling. Is SNP really many times more popular than UKIP? No.

How the voting system works in this country is not a true indication of public feeling. Is SNP really many times more popular than UKIP? No. I'm honestly shocked we're disagreeing with each other! Of course you're right about the electoral system but UKIP and their supporters were saying they'd win a load of seats in the GE knowing full well that the GE is done under FPTP, they still failed to live up to their own predictions. They can't blame the electoral system when before the election they were so sure they'd win a load of seats under that same system. They didn't get any MPs because not enough people got out and voted for them, simple as that.
