They're a handsome thing I've known a few plummers that could well hold their own against any terrier of any sort or breeding under the sod and i have a 9 year old bitch here who can put in a stay till dug to shift with old charlie in ground..But as with all things plummer terrier you open your mouth about what you do with your dog and the whole world knows better about it than you who owns it ,now we'll see if mole can now stay silent and not show exactly what i mean .. 4 Quote Link to post

I contacted one of the Plummer associations about 11 -12 years ago and I'm fairly sure it was a woman called Rothwell who informed me that one of her dogs worked for a hunt and stayed for 3 hours till get his fox... Her price for a pup was ridiculous and when I mentioned the conversation on here I was informed the hunt story was a load of balls... But then again there is a lot of jealousy surrounding the breed so it's hard to know who to take on... A lad off here kindly gave me a ratting dvd with his tri coloured Plummer in action, a fantastic little dog it was!!! Quote Link to post
fireman 10,986
Yes Sue rothwell and she's a fecking idiot for sure, she's the one who set up the PTCGB but she don't breed plummers any more,as with all breeds you get good un's and bad and getting a pup from working parents does give you a better chance at success. It's just a lot of folk get them for ratting and mooching with so there'll allways have that stigma of being rats dogs and the likes of mole love spouting the same old same old shite about dogs they've never owned . lurchers 2,878
If it's the size of the original ones it will be a nice tight thing and they only throw 3pups from what I've seen,as they are that tightly bred my friends son has them and digs a few with them to.he said the breeding was the hardest as people are wanting the price of the pup or a bitch pup for the service.he said if you have 2 dogs and 1 bitch but you wanted to keep it for your self he said the person who has the site would of wanted it.he bought his own stud dog and keeps any pups he breeds because of the hassle trying to get a stud. 1 Quote Link to post
