Manic 1
Hi all Spent most of my life fishing but did some air rifle shooting when I was a teenager, a few decades ago!!! So now my daughters have left home I think it is time to get a new gun as I really fancy frying my hand at ratting. Gordon

Kal 17
Greetings from the Shire! What sort of fishing do you do?
Manic 1
Hi Kal A bit of every thing really. Up until a couple of years ago sea fishing off the South Coast (had a Warrior 165 with an Etec 75, a great small boat package) this year went to the Ascention Island Tuna fishing. Absolutely brilliant. The last couple of years I have been into the course match fishing, mainly on commercial fisheries for carp.
Kal 17
Sounds excellent....I mostly do shore fishing...although I've had the odd boat trip into the Solent. When I was a kid we used to free line for Brook Trout on the Meon chalk streams.
Johno2486 67
Hi Gordon & welcome to the foum, used to enjoy sea fishing myself many moons ago, used to crew as a youngster on converted trawler (the Seafarer worked out of Troon) that took sea fishing parties out on day trips out off the west coast of Scotland, & over to Ireland & Arran for weekend sea fishing competitions, did it every weekend & all summer hols, for years whilst at school, loved it, just do the odd day with the fly now, (not enough hours in the day or days in the week!)
