Ive started getting into these series lately rather than films i was laid up with a bad back for a few weeks recently and got through the whole lot of that Peaky Blinders i thought it was great.......just started this Breaking Bad now....didnt think id like it at first but onto the second season and its really good....... like a cross between a film and a soap opera i havent seen a new film come out that ive liked in ages.

Was going to suggest the series. Peaky Blinders, Breaking bad, Narcos, Sons of Anachy, Better Call Saul (watch after Breaking bad) are all good. We finished watching Prison Break at 2 last night which i'd seen some of when they first came out but being able to watch them back to back on Netflix is better as it's easier to follow the story than when it first came out and you had to wait a week for the next one

It was like the dark ages back then - having to be in front of your TV at the same time every week to watch the next episode ! It's a wonder any of us kept our sanity !

just watched the series 'The Deterctorists' Best thing ive watched lately. another season 'd be good

Saw the Revenant over christmas....thought it was real good, ment to be a true story i think...that Tom Hardy's turn out a good Brit actor...liked him in that film about the moonshiners 'Laswless' thi

One of the best films I've seen that ?

TV series seem to be taking the lime light from film recently, no longer quite the difference between the two there used to be.

A few series I've enjoyed recently,

The Last Kingdom on BBC, about Alfred and the vikings.

Blindspot on Sky, FBI thriller, kinda like a cross between Prison Break, Jason Bourne and CSI, LOL.

If you're into comic book type stuff then Daredevil and Jessica Jones were both very good imo, much darker tone to the plots and keep the fantasy type stuff to the bare minimum.

The Revenant looks fantastic from the trailers! And got Independence Day: Resurgence in the Summer too!

Gnash stick with sons of anarchy i tought the same with series one i wasnt really into it but it gets much better its the best series iv ever seen

You reckon.......i think the main thing putting me off at the moment is the main character is played by the muggy little prat who " starred " in Green Street.......he just repulses me ! .....im 4 episodes into it i just cant envisage another 60 - 70 hours of this so its stick or twist but if you reckon stick.....its on you :D

I didn't like sons as much as breaking bad but it did grow on me. Prison break is really good but as you say a big commitment especially when you can watch them back to back. We always end up watching 'one more episode' and wind up in the early hours exhausted

I must admit the other geezer the one with head like a medicine ball doesnt do much for me either so its tough going at the moment but that Breaking Bad got a grip on me in the first series so i,ll have some faith in what you say and stick at it.....cheers
