Spent Up

This hobby/sport/way of life, is like many others, a costly one to start off with. No surprise there, being a clay shooter, I know how to spend dosh on gear so this year, my first year back into this side of shooting has been a steep learning curve but nevertheless I believe after making a mistake buying the Rotex RM8, I am now on the right path.........I hope.

 

I finish the year with most of the kit I wanted/needed now being bought

 

HW 100 KT .177 ( Mac's choice of weapon )

 

Hawk Varmint 4-16 x 44 AO scope

 

4lt air cylinder & connector

 

Visionking range finder

 

Buffalo River / Deben bench rest

 

Deben 6 - 9'' Bipod

 

Combro chronograph

 

NV system

 

Trigger grip tripod

 

Spend over for this year but next year I want a .22 and whilst I love my HW, I am thinking of a compact ratter, perhaps a modified Ultra or Brocock Compatto.........................who knows.

 

I have had a very interesting year, meeting some nice people and talking to some great guys on here and another forum, learning all the time and practicing my slowly improving skills with an air rifle. Thanks for the banter fellas, you bunch of tw4ts

Funny you should say about what you have spent , looked in my shooting file the other day and added up what has been spent in the last 3 years ,just over £7700

Yes ill put my hands up to that i was there no1 hate fan but i fell head over heels with the hw100 22 sporter but it did take a little time went out with it first two times and put it up for sale hated the thing but VM and the lads told me to stick with it and im well happy they did i would not get rid now not ever

Me and vis went to the range one day and on the way we toted up what was in the boot of the car and it came to over £5000 in just a few mths

My wife has just informed there is another shooting folder she found , she cant believe i have spent £2756.20 on shooting in that folder , I haven't told her yet on how much is in the first folder
