peterhunter86 8,627
Mate has a Glen bitch there has been looking for a long time for a dog to put over her, Sod's law I see this and the dogs away. Sorry to hear that. Its mad how it goes alright. There was a couple of lads around me would have known what he was like. Yeah when I was letting a mate know he died the same thing he was getting in touch with me for a friend of his looking to use the dog over a bitch aswell. I seen one about two years ago at a game fair a fella from coolock owned him he was a powerful looking dog 1 Quote Link to post
THE GENERAL 1,982
Some of the best wheatens alive are up your country General. Look for a small one. I was just thinking about that Neil and to be honest with you out of all them dogs ive seen over the years even to date, I can't think of a smallish wheaten dog! Now I know their probably is plenty about, whether or not they'd be bred the prefered way or not is another story. I know before my time there has been small wheaten dogs some that held their own and some even excelled compared to the bigger animals, Peter Sinead for example. Most of the wheatens I have seen and know of were far from small or even close. That's only my experience though I'm sure others could be the opposite. Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
I hear ya, but if a good glen is not available then the only other option is a wheaten and yes, some wheatens are small but most of them have 50 pounders in their pedigrees and one thing about breeding is that you might only hope for heart but the breeder can have a say on size. 1 Quote Link to post
