king 11,972
Ive got an 8 month old bull x here rex he's only ever seen about 6 rabbits ever and they were in the distance.he chased 4 today into cover but could only get within about 20yds before they hit thick brambles and disappeared.so I thought right he's seen a few seems keen.so took him up the field tonight were there are a few.give him a 30yd slip and after 2 turns picked it up done a little prance about showing off and retrieved live to hand unharmed.i would of liked a squatter for his first but the rabbits are very lamp shy.really pleased with him. king 11,972
Yea really happy with him gaz.ive been teaching him to go down steep wooded hills.sending him ahead into light cover with hand signals as not to spook anything hoping something will bolt for him but nothing yet.but after he had 4 runs today along some narrow bramble and gorse lined tracks I thought he might be ready for a look on the lamp.and he just clicked straight away.like you say onwards and upwards.
