sussex 5,777
Been on the Doe's for the last two days , wasn't really expecting to get much with the wind direction as it tends to push the deer on to the opposite side of the valley but managed a couple yesterday and another five today ...a pal I had out brought his thermal imager , excellent piece of kit , it really showed the position of the deer in the dense woodland and you could see the deer on the opposite hillside which again was excellent ...the trouble being whilst you can see the deer in the woodland you can't actually get in there to get a shot , plus being able to see seventy odd deer on the other side of the valley is just as frustrating when you don't have permission to shoot it .. These were got the old fashioned way , one stalked , one from a seat ..three from today were stalked and two more from the seat .......these two went 60lb & 56lb ..forgot to take the camera for today's pic's , no fun getting old and forgetful ..edited to add the dog is coming on a treat ... 3 Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
Good on you Rich - the wind doesn't make things easy, I'm out tomorrow on predominantly open ground, just hope it doesn't rain. Quote Link to post
