Feeding Fur And Heads.

As above do any of you feed rabbit with fur on and do you feed rabbit heads to your dogs.

When I cut the head off I always throw it to the dog but the rest is skinned before they get it

yeh, just feed the heads, cut the ears off, then freeze for a week same with all front ends, then feed frozen the dogs love them, its more like a bone to them if as anything. as I some times struggle to get beef bones, so these heads frozen gives the dogs some to chew on I take the fur all the rabbit apart from the head that fed to dogs .

I've fed frozen rabbits with coat on in summer.like you say bird they are like a bone.dog has a good time chewing away at it.

I had a staff bitch who would eat heads like they were Pringles.3 or 4 crunches and down.she was a greedy bitch though..

I feed whole, fur, guts, head the lot... They're always frozen for a minimum of 3 weeks and I worm the dogs regularly, dogs seem to be fine being fed like it, never noticed anything to say they shouldn't be fed like it... But I am probably wrong!!! Kind of figured it would be like 'in nature' plus if there is anything the dogs didn't like they wouldn't eat it, the fussy gits!!!

I feed whole rabbits to ferrets, next day my lurcher bitch eats what's left,dirty bitch loves it lol she can't be left with any dead ones in back of truck cause she eats the heads, think she done around 15 the one day,my terriers do love the feet as well mind,if they didn't want them they wouldn't eat them,I worm them every month and they sound.atb dc

I keep rabbit heads and freeze them it keeps the ferrets busy when it warms up and the seasons over, I also aways skin rabbits before feeing dogs as I don't want to risk the dog deciding to chow down on them in the field

I chuck heads to pup she seems to love them my bitch will eat them as they are once left one hung up on side of dog pen she pulled it through mesh an eat it at first I didnt relies where the f****r had gone then found feet in dogs bed little cuts sometimes

I know it still a rabbit with the smell etc , but take ears off, so dogs think there just another bone when frozen , my one dog Buck very soft mouth with rabbits, so I try to keep it that way, that's why . it might be load of crap lol, but it works for me .
