Donna Wildwood 288
I carry a baccy tin with the following in it; Dental floss and a large eyed needle (you can mend almost anything with dental floss, I've sewn up tears on a rucksack that is still going strong years later.) Couple of non applicator tampons.they make fab firelighters and come in their own plastic wrap. fishing line and hook. tick remover though probably not needed this time of year. H2O purifying tablets matches Couple of paracetamol or summat few plasters in case of blisters etc small tube of superglue I also write an 'incase of emergency' telephone number on the lid..... just in case you end up in a nasty way and rescue needs to make contact with someone on your behalf. If you have any medical conditions diabetes etc write that on there too. I also take a decent knife. cooking pot, hatchet, tarp, sleeping bag with cover. If you can be arsed to carry it take a sheepskin too. I roll mine up put it in a bin liner and strap it on me rucksack. you can lie on it, under it, sit on it. warm up your bare feet whilst your socks are drying. you can cut it up and line your boot with it if they start to rub etc etc. They weigh hardly anything and make life so much more pleasant Oh an i usually take a crook too, most people use a staff or walking pole, but I'm short and a crook makes stuff easier to reach. If its been raining most of your dry wood is going to be still caught up in the trees or hedge and I can never reach it without me crook lol!
