Born Hunter 17,780
"We had a list of 10 people we had to kill straightaway to stop them blabbin" f***ing hell, imagine orders like that coming out in the papers these days! There'd be billions spent on enquiries and lawyers and media spin. Back in those days no action was off the table in defence of the country.
keepitcovert 842
Following on from ww2 bunker thread, there was a piece in my local village rag about the hidden locations of the places where these guys operated from, and the headquarters was in the underground boiler house of a large country house, which border the school i went to, a place where we would twag certain lessons. In those days we were completely unaware of the signifigence of this building. Apparently the whole platoon was nearly killed when someone closed the air vents without informing anyone, the owner of the house was the local GP and was on hand to sort the problem. The location of the second place was a large hollow tree, what we played on as kids, and in this article in the local rag it showed a photo of two of the men of this platoon posing with their guns. As for recruitment the local keeper and postman were recruited, but i dont know if any local poachers were involved, probably were as there wasnt any shortage of them in my village. There was a list of suspects that were to be eliminated the the event of occupation, would love to have seen the list i bet half the councillers would have been on it.
