Born Hunter 17,775 Posted December 3, 2015 Report Share Posted December 3, 2015 What I keep wondering about is that all we here is that everyone is "packing" in that country, well I haven`t seen anyone able to fight back in these attacks, whether schools, theaters or whatever.. where are all the "pistal packing rednecks" , it just doesen`t make any sense to me.Charles whitman in the 1960's,the texas tower sniper,one of the first spree-killers of the type,local citizens brought out their weapons and pinned him down till cops finished him off. Really have to go back in time to find this ?? No of course you don't. The media shows you what sells and what suits a given agenda. Do you really believe that when a citizen stops a mass shooting event it would make international news? 14 unarmed innocent civilians killed is outrageous...... a couple of wounded innocents and one dead lunatic isn't! I watched a cctv video on youtube the other day of a recent event where one such nutcase in a hospital was stopped by armed citizens. Not to mention countless other 'minor' violent situations. Where are all the 'rednecks' when these mass shooting take place?................. Lets just analyse this......... Where do these mass shootings take place? TOMO 26,263 Posted December 3, 2015 Report Share Posted December 3, 2015 I was working with a Canadian lad last week who is married to and Amercan lass ...he is going for his green card in the states and was saying once he gets that he will "be packin" I said whats that ....he told me his wife carries a concealed hand gun at all times .....he was saying that as long as you have a driving licience and pay the money you can get a gun ....I said why do you want to carry a gun ...."cause everyone else is packin thats how "....no wander theres so much gun crime in the states ...can you imagine if every ned in the UK was packin Can't belive he would want to live there... knowing to feel safe he would need to carry a gun...madness 3 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I totally agree on how the media report things...& of course massacres sell, why wouldn't they? But there seems to be this argument of "if only we knew about all the incidents involving guns that didn't go on to be massacres.........." I can't argue with the stats, but It's not something I find reassuring......it seems to miss the point for me.... There just seems to be something fundamentally wrong with a culture.......when arming school teachers seems like a very good idea.... That said.....I was in a shopping mall in brussels yesterday & now they have security checking everyone's bag going in, no one excluded......but security was unarmed?
