Bgd, what is paranoid schizophrenia, how do they act, what is the disorder?

Schizophrenia makes it hard to distinguish between reality and delusions (those mad folk that think God is communicating with them are usually some type of schizophrenic), sufferers will often hear voices or see things and they can't tell what's real and what's just in their head. Paranoid schizophrenia is a subtype with slightly differing symptoms that include paranoid delusions (thinking people are out to get you etc)

 

My cousin really suffered with it when he was younger in and out of psychiatric facilities etc but he's been really stable the last few years, finally found a medication regime that suits him. It's almost like having my old pal back after years of barely recognising the person he had become.

Then they start talking shite and continue to talk shite.

Then they start acting macho, dissappear for a while and then pretend their related to them or continuously copy paste untrue facts.

So I would pray every night to God, an you reckon I'm a skitso, cause i know he helps me threw daily life, so do you not have that inner voice, conscience i would say, that you hear inside you, example, aahh I shouldn't have done that, or feck I should've , or nooo don't do that, so what would you call that?

 

An if you talk to yourself in your mind like, example standing talking to your boss, an saying to yourself in your mind,,, feck of ya c**t ye.lol

Sorry pal I didn't mean to insult you with comment about schizophrenics thinking God communicates with them, it's just a very common delusion among them but it's very different to the sort of relationship you have with your God when praying to him etc.

 

I'd say the difference between that inner voice we all have and the voices schizophrenics hear is that we're aware that the voice is just our conscience whereas schizophrenics actually believe it's a separate being communicating with them.
