I know i sound like a fool but im new to hunting with ferrets. what age are ferrets mature enough to hunt rabbits. i need to know so please reply if you know. Thanks

Around 16-18 weeks, you wont get much serious work out of them mind

Took my 2 jills on a proper outing at 7months old prior to that i had a couple of messing about sessions in & out holes,small unused sets just to get them used to locator collars,nets,etc.They stopped playing about soon as they made contact with their first rabbit they are now all grown up & serious should get them out this weekend for a bit of action...

i start mine at about 4months old , dont expect rabbits bolting every where it can be a slow do untill they see what its all about, good luck , Fezz
