Alan... 172
yeah exactly lol is that not a big ball of ground bait and the bait is the multicoloured bit in your hand? Quote Link to post
mackem 26,051
Yes mate, the multicoloured is pop up beads,i will get a pic up of a ball of bait when i find on,in the past i tried boilies, and similar,i took halibut,tutti-fruiti and other exotic boilies over there, never got so much as a bite, that ground bait is rice-husk ground up,i sometimes use bread paste made with sweetened coconut milk, depends what i am after. 1 Quote Link to post
mackem 26,051
Couple more of mine, and one for a japanese angler who was using really light gear, and subsequently taking an age to wear his fish down to netting time. Quote Link to post
mackem 26,051
70 odd pound! well done mackem mekong cat I assume? Just watch your back for those LBs macks only there for the LBs, fancy having a go at fishing in thailand , can you rent a fishing rod and reel or do you take your own mackem ? I saw john wilson in one of the angling mags last week, angling mail??Anyway,he caught a 120lb cat on a really cheap outfit, and lost a much bigger fish after a 3 hour (in that heat) battle when a snag snapped his 80lb braid, the lake he was fishing has cats to 330lb so it is possible he hooked into a real monster, anyway he was fishing with a masterline rovex catfish rod and an 8000 big boss reel, both are cheap as chips,i am thinking of getting a set and leaving it in my nephews apartment so i dont have to rely on hire gear.
