Looking Good For Tomorrow.

Recommended Posts

Got into Bangkok this morning, sorted myself out with a shower and some grub, decided i had time to visit the venue i am fishing in the morning, hope i can get up as i am meeting a mate in NEP at 9pm.Got to the lake and big fish were showing everywhere, only a few people fishing today, saw a few fish caught in the half-hour i wandered around, average size 20-30kg and one bigger one the guy said was probably 45kg,hoping to get a full day on there tomorrow, tight lines.

Yes mate, the only beasts i saw were last night in NEP (nana entertainment plaza),there was a group of drunken lads from yorkshire who were too inebriated to realise they were getting off with some ladyboys, scary stuff.

Just came off the lake and having a meal at a korean restaurant, got 10 fish, one was a real beast, screaming reels sort of stuff, took a load of line sizzling off the reel, some really nice runs,,almost too big to get in the net, biggest one I got was around 35kg,I will bang some pics up when i get a chance, nice day, enjoyable.

Mackem if I'm honest, not good!!

Just got some better pic's Dave, had a great day, arrived at a venue and walked onto the lake,i was just chatting to a guy, marcus a chippie from the west country,he was tackled up and had only been there a short while,i was asking had he caught owt when he got a screamer of a run, absolute beauty of a siamese carp, not his biggest as his PB was around 60kg but a really nice fish all the same.

my first cast got a bite, very strong fish,no way jose could I stop that run, load of pressure applied but line just peeled off,the fish had a destination and got under a fallen tree,i couldn't bully it out and i could feel the line rasping against the snag when bang, the rod tip sprang back and fish numero uno was lost,i was pissed off,it was over 30 degree's,i was sweating like a pig and i had just lost a fish  Not good.

Next run was a stormer, took maybe 100 yards of line, right out,a real 100 yards not a fishermans tale, this fish meant business, pressured it loads and cranked a few turns back onto the reel, give and take all the way, panicked a bit as i got it near and took off again, short run as it was almost spent, once its head came up i knew it was game over :victory:

Ended the day with around a dozen, some real nice ones,my arms are aching, the final cast i was actually thinking please don't let there be another fish when line started sizzling off the spool, great runs, almost got it into the net after maybe 15-20 minutes,it was as fat as a pig, pressure to get it the last few yards when the hook-hold gave and it swirled on the surface and was gone, good final moment of a real nice session,i will bang some pics up later, better than last weeks

Steve, theres an old saying "The best looking women in thailand are the men",an aussie guy once introduced me to his mate with the words "This is Dan his wife is a bloke" as the guy was in a relationship with a stunning ladyboy, its amazing what a skilled surgeon and a course of hormones can do,some of them look more feminine than the women,I wonder how many guys have a few pints and pick one up viewing them through beer goggles. My best mate Giles once got pissed, had a blow-job off one, declared it the best BJ he had ever had then found out the fellatio was from a cock in a frock,i never let him live it down.

For sure you can rent gear, when i first came years ago i had a 6 foot length of drain pipe and 2 end-caps to keep my rod safe,it went into oversized baggage, nowadays i just rent at one of the venues, most carry rod/reel combos to rent as well as end tackle, the venue i fished yesterday has a tackle shop on site as well as rod rental, come out,you will have a whale of a time, its probably on par with a week in france at a decent lake complex, except here your going to get real biggies and lots of them.

Dave,i am back in thailand, philippines was a quick visit just to check on my pineapples.
