Barrels

Does anyone know the best place to get a couple of .177 rifle barrels from, as I am soon to be making a couple of PCPs.

Don't think I can buy them mail order anymore!

Or does anyone have some at a reasonable price

No advice mate, just curious. Never heard of anybody making their own PCP's before. Do you start from scratch, or are you customising? Would like to know as it sounds interesting!

Starting from scratch mate.

In theory a PCP is only an air receiver, a couple of high pressure valves, and a hammer and trigger (sounds simple!)

the barrels are the only things that I couldn't make!

Owning my own small engineering firm does help a bit with the whole project though

Also knowing a couple of people that have made rifles in the past helps! (but they got their barrels years ago for 20quid each )

Come to think of it, I have a Crosman king ratty that I was I was looking to customise. I phoned crosman, and they were willing to send me a longer barrel for about £25 inc postage. I would have thought that most manufacturers would stock spares an the like. I think I may still have the number for crosman here somewhere, on a piece of paper, don't know where though. Only problem, is the barrels might not be what you are looking for. If you want though I could try to sift through my mountains of shite and PM you the number though.

I believe the ban includes barrels, silencers, pressure vessles, and a fer other parts, but it might be worth a try if you can pm me the number.
