charlie caller 3,654
So Thursday, I take delivery of my new springer, a (performance calibre) .177 Walther LGV master pro, stripped it Thursday night, have to say I am impressed with the internal engineering, not a bit of swarf or a sharp edge anywhere, not even lathered in grease, so a de-grease, and re-lube with some dri slide etc and a polish of the spring ends, I slapped a AGS swat scope on it and went to my mates to zero it,now bearing in mind, I had just cleaned the barrel, and have no idea what pellets it likes, I started using superdomes, a rough zero at 10 yards, then out to 30 yards well to say I am staggered is an understatement, once zeroed, I fired a 5 shot group off a proper rest, hit the bull with the first shot, then preceded to wonder where the other 4 had gone, hmmmm through the same bloody hole virtually so it may like superdomes me-thinks! I manage to sneak out at 3pm today to a farm just down the road, for the last hour, I miss a chance at two squirrels who legged it, before I could get a clear shot, then just as its getting a little dark and I am thinking about packing in, I spy a movement about 35 yards to my right, a hen Pheasant feeding on the bank through the trees, I reas my hand on a convenient branch, and wait until she gets out of some thistles and about 5 yards closer, place the crosshairs on her neck and off goes a superdome, and it flips over without a twitch I cant get my head around how damn quiet this is for a springer, and it has not even got a mod on it yet, so a good start, for what seems to be a superb rifle. 8 Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
I was thinking of one of these and it's the first on THL I've seen. Actually put an order in at software but cancelled it. The only thing that put me off was the trigger, not how it feels just how looks. Petty I know but it matters. Shot a mates comp ultra and I raved about the f****r on here when I got back. They are another level. 1 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Yes they are,I agree about the trigger, but handsome is as handsome does for me, but what gets me is the damn thing sounds like it should be doing about 3ftlbs, it is so bloody quiet in the field, I wanted something different to the norm, and it looks like I have got it Quote Link to post

Completely agree. I'm on the look out for a new 'mechanical' job myself, get the brood whittled down a bit more. Might have think about px'ing the 99 and my 97 as much as I hate to say it, got my eye on a RM100 and getting the learning down on the GS system. Or in fact comp pro like yours... Hmmm. charlie caller 3,654
If you can live with the slightly naff looking, but very competent trigger,I dont think you will be disappointed with one of these, the best way I can describe it up to know, is like using a super accurate pcp with a tiny bit of kick, cant wait to get it out again.
