Rat face 1,655
I went digging a couple of weeks ago with a gentleman. Must stress I'm a busher and this is why I'm asking for other peoples opinions. The dog entered and we had a mark. Dug down no Charlie but the terrier was marked up from Charlie. But he was nowhere to be seen. I believe if the terrier had contact with Charlie when we dug down they should have been mouth to mouth. However the gentleman explained Charlie had pushed on. What do you think? it sounds spot on to me mate the lad you went out with is just working towards the current laws and used a dog that stayed back and bayed as we all do these days 4 Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809
million and one scenarios are you sure it was a ginger one and not a black and white one as the later would dig on and throw a wall up and if the dog wasnt used to it he may sit there waiting for you to get there Quote Link to post
Will1234 17
Thankyou to all the genuine posts that replied I now have a better understanding as to why the quarry was not there. I guess it's not as simple as put dog down hole dig to dog and meet quarry. There are many variables, as I said I get all my quarry through bushing . Happy hunting Quote Link to post
foxbolter 447
What do you think the reason was then will Quote Link to post
young man 225
Did use put a stick up the hole that yous think charlie pushed on into? Then check the end of it to see if theres any hairs? Quote Link to post
jiggy 3,209
Fox could of gave the dog a bit of contact around a tight bend and dog couldn't return the favour then fox pushed on and dog couldn't get any further. Don't judge a dog on one dig judge it over an entire season and the truth will be revealed good or bad. Quote Link to post
foxbolter 447
Jiggy a season is too long for me to dig down and nothing there and this dog what the post is about could probably be judged by eye normal case of dog being too big Quote Link to post
MOLE265 792
A can't believe there's two pages waisted on this the clown is clearly an anti and has you's all debating about it. 3 Quote Link to post
jiggy 3,209
Jiggy a season is too long for me to dig down and nothing there and this dog what the post is about could probably be judged by eye normal case of dog being too biga season might be to long for man that owns the dog but from forming an opinion on somebody else's dog one dig is not enough. Would you get rid of one of yours after one unsuccessful dig that you weren't sure what happened. One bad dig doesn't make a bad dog the same as one good dig doesn't make them special either. I'd make my opinion on dog after 3 or 4 bad digs then its time to stop making excuses for the dog. Edited November 28, 2015 by jiggy 5 Quote Link to post
foxbolter 447
If I was there I think I would have known what happened and many others too but old will is not describing what happened very good I think the mole is right he could very well be a anti so if that's the case I think the terrier ate his quarry and probably got stuck cause is stomach got too big have a nice life will1234 u bellend 1 Quote Link to post
Will1234 17
I think Charlie pushed on and the terrier couldn't get to him. The terrier was too eager to leave the earth for my liking anyway but I wanted more views because I thought maybe I was being a bit hard on the terrier. Fox bolter go and shag your sheep. Mole265 I've probably had more gear than you have had hot dinners and I reckon your a fat c#nt! Jiggy you talk a lot of sense 1 Quote Link to post

pablo esc 1,598
It right to want to know what happend or curiosity but by not being there it easy or biased in the wrong way to say different. As the other man like unfortunatly many would say shit or wrong about others dogs but not the own in truth Quote Link to post
