Battery Advice

Aright guys iv decided I'm going get my self a lamp I'm goin to the the deban tracer 170 variable power now all I need is a battery iv been lookin at the deben batterys but can't decide witch one to get? Witch one will be best suited to power it atb.

i would go for the 14amp minimum mate, should last on a good night easy enough. that extra few quid is money well spent imo

Depends on how long you lamp for. I've got a 14amp which last roughly 4 hours and 22amp which does all night

I'm going for the 22amp it's only 50 ish quid more so I might aswell it ses the 22 amp last 3hours and 15 mins is that ture??

Think the tracer 170 is 75w so probably. I know the blitz (100w) last 2-30 with 22amp continuous.

I have a 10amp lithium myself and that lasts 2-30 mins with 50w, Iv never run it out ever.

Got HID170 50w so prob have even more run time now.

If your looking to run bigger watt bulbs just go for the 22amp.

If you run a LED off a 10amp you get 10 hours lol

I use the blitz with 100w bulb and 22amp battery and I'm yet to have it run out on me I have done 3 nights with out charge before local but if I'm going for a good night I lamp from 11 till 5-6 in morning and it's not far from gone but that's lamp on off looking for gear all night then on for a run ?

Unless your going for long sessions the 14 will be fine and it will fit in the side pocket of most rucksacks where the 22 won't.

wont be as bright but enough for most places. If you got the money , seriously consider the hid 50w enforcer. Awesome lamp Iv gone from tracer 140 50w that's served me well. To this, the difference is mental, better than the blitz, clearer beam, better built and the battery will last at least twice as long. So basically 10amp battery with 50w hid will last about same if not more than a blitz with 22amp

I am tempted by the hid lamps I'm just worryed they will be to much light for me I'd get one if I had loads of permission but I don't so I thort it would be 2 much lamp I don't really need to turn night into day lol but I do really want to see one in the flesh atb nice one for the reply guys much appreciated

I would like a hid. I lent my cousins, they're good lamps clear beam but they don't do variable ones

That's the only down fall with dimmer but I never used it anyway.

I imagine with a red filter it'll be a wicked beam.

22amp will last a good few nights no point in messing around. I'd rather have it and never use it, than not have it and need it.

 

They weigh next to nothing so get the biggest you can afford

ive a second hand 14amp for sale if anyone is interested hasent seen a big lot of use works 100% comes with charger and car charger
