BGD 6,436
Thank you BGD. Totally agree with butternut and when I make it I i nclude a red onion and sweet potato. Now that.s a belly liner. Will have to try chucking a sweet potato in next time I do it I like a little bit of chilli in there too

jok 3,235
Good idea BGD but the lovely one don't do chilli and as I make most for her that's a non starter. Love this idea of bacon, blue cheese and broccoli though. Got to be a winner.
BGD 6,436
I couldn't abide a woman that doesn't like chilli, it goes in everything round here That definitely sounds like a winner might give that a go myself, I haven't got one of these fancy kettles though I'll have to make do with a pan and a stick blender Edited December 4, 2015 by BGD
jok 3,235
Well. When you drop a blk and your daughter gives you grief then you know you've done wrong. Slightly changed from the blue cheese idea and made the potato , leek and bacon. Never gave it a thought. Seasoned as usual but used salted bacon. Result. Might as have well had a drink from Seahouses. Ah well live and learn.

Heinz beef broth with pasta and a chopped pepper with cheese, onion, tomato, ham, and marmite toasties
