Dales Hunter 22
Hi all - I'm probably opening myself up to some criticism but take it as it is. Looking to get a rabbiting dog to have some fun with in the future and, as strange as it sounds, I'd love it to be by my current greyhound. He's proved to be terrible at hunting but brought me lots of fun in his track days. I'd love to cross him with a bitch to produce a few decent hunting prospects. Any suggestions on what with and if anyone knows of a suitable match, let me know! Quote Link to post

Dales Hunter 22
To be fair it was injuries that held him back and my novice training, plus soon learned that he wasn't suitable to the type of area we have Quote Link to post
tank34 2,341
I think you be hard finding some one who would put your dog over there bitch, I would go get a pup mate Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
There's no room for romance in breeding working dogs. Best to remember him as your racing dog not as a sire of curs. JMHO. 5 Quote Link to post
scottish lurcher 185
Get a pup!! ( buy bitches in future then you can get any dog over her ,mediocre male dogs ten a penny ) Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
Iv met you and run same land, I'll be breeding my bitch soon ( I think lol) and I would never even contemplate using a very good grey or one that had been worked, never mind one that had injuries and done nowt, no offence pal As has been said, sentiment should play no part in the breeding of lurchers. Though sadly, all to often, it does and is a main factor as to why there is so much shit about! Dales hunter, do yourself, the pups you will have to find homes for and the world of working lurchers a huge favour and dont breed a litter. Take whats on offer and you wont go far wrong...
