Where abouts in east lancs are you , im in accy and mixy has wiped my permissions from garstang to great harwood over the last couple of years. Dont know how fast it spreads but its a sickener when you see your permissions being wiped out , even my bankers in harrogate have been done in with it . Id just leave it and get out looking for new land

Padiham mate, rest I caught were healthy I'll try and knock em over but time will tell I suppose

the thing is it was only a couple of weeks ago I was telling my cousin 'I've not seen mixy local to me'! put my foot in it there didn't I

Thanks all for the input

Mick

It was round hapton not long back , looks like its reached your way now . Its a shame , the rabbit population has never been that big round here and everytime it looks to be getting better it goes bad again . The land i have over harwood had a fair few a couple of years back but in the space of 2 weeks you were lucky to see one

It must be sweeping through then pal, Compared to last year there's loads of good uns about I'm gutted really, time will tell what damage it does

IMO, It ain't just myxi....there's something else that's hammering the rabbit population.....

myxi's been around for 60+ years, it's some other 'thing' that has been making rabbit numbers drop year on year for the last two decades.....In my opinion.:victory:

Yep, Summer rabbiters, people taking huge numbers, not to mention VHD it all adds up. We have myxi every year, but they always seem to breed well enough through the Summer. Two years ago we had VHD go through and they have just not recovered. Hardly a rabbit here now.

Myxi is a very long cruel death for rabbits and to think that it is legal to use it is beyond me these do good clowns should look at this instead of worrying about country sports if these clowns had their way they would ban coursing rabbits tomorrow but its ok to let these rabbits suffer a pitiful death the same with riffles it's okay to shoot animals in the dark and wound them leaving them dieing for days and nights I think the government got Myxi their blind and very thoughtless
