neil cooney 10,416 Posted November 23, 2015 Report Share Posted November 23, 2015 When I was young I remember a farmer telling me that when they were all young, so you'd be talking about the 40s or so, that all the lads in the parish would go out hunting after Mass on a Sunday morning with a pack of dogs of every description and everyone would be carrying a throwing stick. One Ol' boy told me that if a rabbit left covert and ran by you that you'd have to jump in the air as high as you could or else you'd get the legs took off you by a load of throwing sticks. 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
