dommorris92 64
Getting fx wildcat so its a small gun dont want to overdo it with a massive scope but never used a 40mm objective before .. is there any real big difference from a 50 Quote Link to post
just-A-snap 1,269
In theory the 40mm lets in less light, but resolving power also depends on the quality of glass. A good quality 40mm will outshine any mediocre or average 50mm scope. Quality Glass with Quality of contraction is always best. You pay your money, you take your choice. Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
big is not better always .I have a white tail scope with a 20 mm objective lens . It is an excellent scope 1.5 x 5 mag only the only problem is it has 30/30 rectal not a mil dot which I prefer . air guns have a short range for hunting 9 x 4 x 40mm is a good trade of . if you are just sniping of a bi pod or a rest and not carrying the gun about maybe any scope you want is fine Quote Link to post
The one 8,529
I got a x50 scope on my gun but it's mainly used for lamping and I reckon it draws in more light Quote Link to post
sean85730 5
Why not look at the nikosterling range (I think that's how it is spelt) the niteater is a 44mm objective and ita a really beautiful scope and gathers the light really nicely , its light too with side focus, mine was £129 brand new Sean Quote Link to post
