Must have been alot of ,,,rally prepiared escort Mexico owners in the 80's,,,that went out to there beloved motors in a morning to find there spotlights missing......... Oop's so he did...! Well then i gotta disagree with the learned gentleman. Them 'ol blue eyes, not to mention clear eyes and black eyes made the nasty buisness of lamping hares, on Altcar estate, much more fun... terryd 8,465 Posted November 20, 2015 Report Share Posted November 20, 2015 Started with one of them cheap Lucas lamps of some description then got a spotlight fitted with a door bell switch which was a great idea instead of snapping off lever switches every ten minutes then eventually got the blue eye. I had forgotten what it was called until I saw this thread just remember it being blue and shiny at the time and very handy in the big fields compared to the others Quote Link to post
fluff 409 Posted November 20, 2015 Report Share Posted November 20, 2015 first lamps were motor bike head lights motor bike batteries until,sealed gel batts came in, and deben etc , saw the small sqaure lights but locally just hares and massive feilds so needed a good beam tried alsorts from here and the states , australia , usedlike the big torchers of the waterboard years ago greqat for roosters and fishin in the river ,good old lights 1 Quote Link to post
