Multishot Vs Single Lazy Or Smart?

ok so i been looking and reading for a while people have suggested that Weirauch and Daystate are the most popular (rather than "better")

 

I have focused in on multi shot with the thought i can shoot faster if im ratting then i can get more shots quicker (again without rushing shots)

 

i have found a S/H DAYSTATE X2 MUTI SHOT .177 WALNUT RIGHT HAND for £600

 

or a S/H WEIHRAUCH HW100 T/H .177 £575

 

going to look at them saturday just want to look twice spend once

if you are sitting waiting for a shot single shot is better the gun can be decocked , at night in the dark a mag is better , dont loose the mag count your shots .

Multi shot is a lot easier but if you rattle off rounds you can run the risk of dry firing and if you foul an animal you've got to reload it to dispatch an animal which can take longer than a single shot. Likewise if you've fired and missed the creature and its unsure of the danger then it takes some time to reload instead of cock and get back on the shot. It's going to come down to what you want out of the rifle and what your personal preference/comfortable with.

You can always pop a couple into a mag and fire it. Works a treat on my R10.

If you are only going to do target shooting you could consider a single shot but why ?.

I got a single shot mag with my hw100fsb sporter and also two 14 shot mags.

I am going to stick my neck out here and say that daystates are for people who have a fair bit of cash and have had all the top rifles and just fancy one and they look fantastic.

Hw100 will do what it says on the tin and then some it's a very safe bet. If I thought there was a better rifle I would of bought it.

I used my 177 hw100fsb on Tuesday night in the long shed and it was fantastic, I shredded loads of targets for fun.

Tonight I used my hw100kt 22 same as above.......creamy.

I never once thought that I wished I had got a Daystate but if I had got a daystate I am certain that I would be wishing I had got a 100.

One point to consider,- adrenalin .

You shoot a rat, its big brother appears, reload ! reload! - the HW`s will never ever malfunction on reload - major advantage over the opposition you cannot double load, period !

If i was going to get a daystate it would have to be Davids ,WOLF not a new one i no his is spot on

 

and is try,d and tested but it would have to be his just hope when he dose get rid iv got the cash to buy it
